Welcome to Horizon Fund! By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.
Horizon Fund is a modern fundraising platform built for today’s campaigns. These Terms of Service outline the rules and conditions for accessing and using the Horizon Fund platform—including our website, features, services, and any related technology—unless we specifically state otherwise. By using or accessing any of our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Horizon Fund, and "you" refers to the user of our services.
Horizon Fund is currently in beta. Features may change or be removed. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or data retention.
You agree to use Horizon Fund for lawful purposes only. You will not abuse, hack, or disrupt the service.
By using Horizon Fund, you also agree that we can collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you provide your email or organization info, you agree that it's accurate. You're responsible for your own submissions.
Minimum Age: To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old or have reached the legal age of majority in your place of residence. If we find that you don’t meet this age requirement, we may suspend your access or remove your account entirely.
Accurate Details: To help ensure a safe and reliable community, you agree to be honest and accurate when interacting with our services. This includes keeping your account information current and truthful, especially when making donations.
Authority to Act: If you’re using our services on behalf of an organization or group, you confirm that you’re authorized to agree to these Terms on their behalf. Any references to “you” in these Terms apply to both you personally and the organization you represent.
Account Restrictions: If your access has previously been revoked or limited due to violations of our Terms or other policies, you may not use our services again unless we have given you explicit permission to do so.
All content on the site (unless otherwise noted) belongs to Horizon Fund. You may not copy or use it without permission.
User Content: Some of our Services—such as donation pages and contribution forms—may allow you to upload, share, or otherwise make available content you own or have the right to use. This may include, but is not limited to, text, images, videos, music or other audio, and branding materials such as logos or trademarks (collectively referred to as “Content”). By submitting Content through the Services, you confirm that (i) you possess the necessary rights to grant Horizon Fund the license described below, and (ii) your Content does not infringe on any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
Responsibility and Reporting: You are solely responsible for any Content you upload or make available via the Services. Horizon Fund is not obligated to host or maintain any Content submitted by users. If you come across Content that appears to violate these Terms or applicable laws, you may notify us for review.
License: By submitting Content to Horizon Fund, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, use, modify, distribute, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works from that Content. This license remains in effect until the Content is deleted from our systems. However, in specific circumstances, this license may continue beyond deletion if removing the Content would interfere with our ability to: (i) detect, investigate, or address unlawful activity or violations of our policies; (ii) maintain the safety, integrity, or security of our platform and its users; or (iii) comply with legal requirements such as data retention or legal process.
By choosing to share any feedback, ideas, suggestions, or recommendations regarding the Services ("Feedback") with Horizon Fund, you acknowledge that we may use that Feedback freely and without obligation to you. While we are not required to implement any Feedback, if we choose to do so, it becomes part of the Services and is owned by Horizon Fund. All Feedback is considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and we are not responsible for any use or disclosure of it. You will not be entitled to compensation or recognition for any Feedback we use. When you submit Feedback, you confirm that you have the right to share it, that it does not infringe on the rights of any other individual or organization, and that it does not contain confidential or proprietary information from any third party. This section will remain in effect even if your account is closed or these Terms come to an end.
This section outlines the terms governing your financial transactions on Horizon Fund, including payment authorization, recurring contributions, and refund eligibility. We are not responsible for any payment errors, delays, or issues arising from third-party services or your failure to manage your contributions.
Payments: When you make a donation through Horizon Fund, we may ask for your contact details and payment information to process the transaction. By submitting a donation, you give us permission to charge your payment method for that contribution, including any recurring donations you’ve authorized. You can update your saved payment details anytime through our platform. While we and our payment processors work to resolve issues like fraud, chargebacks, and disputes, we may not be able to assist with problems related to third-party services or platforms and may direct you to them for support.
Recurring Contributions: Some features on Horizon Fund allow you to set up recurring donations (e.g., monthly). When you choose this option, you authorize Horizon Fund to process those recurring payments as outlined in these Terms. Your donation will continue at the selected frequency unless one of the following occurs before the next scheduled payment: (a) you cancel, pause, or change your recurring donation; (b) the campaign stops fundraising through Horizon Fund; or (c) these Terms are terminated in accordance with our policies. You can cancel recurring donations at any time, and your cancellation will apply to future charges only. If you have questions or believe a recurring donation was made in error, please reach out to our Support team.
Refunds: Horizon Fund reviews refund requests individually and processes them at our discretion or as required by law. If we’re unable to issue a refund, as we do not hold any funds, we may direct you to the campaign or recipient so you can request a refund from them directly.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horizon Fund and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services, including without limitation any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct; (iii) any content obtained from the Services; or (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
All Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Your use of the Services is at your sole risk, and you assume full responsibility for any damage or loss that may result. Horizon Fund does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or functionality provided through the Services. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, Horizon Fund’s liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Horizon Fund may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to some or all of our Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or any applicable laws or regulations. We also reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or restrict portions of the Services at our sole discretion, without liability to you or any third party. If we suspect your account is being used for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unauthorized purposes—including violations of trade laws, anti-terrorism regulations, or other legal obligations—we reserve the right to investigate, report, and take appropriate legal action. Immediate suspension or termination may occur in such cases without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Services will cease immediately. However, any provisions of these Terms that are intended to survive termination—such as those relating to intellectual property, indemnification, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—will continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
